Complete lifecycle coverage

Items added, removed, or edited; coupons applied and removed; fees and shipping; refunds created and deleted; status changes; order field changes; order emails.

Actor attribution

Every note ends with who did it — the admin's username, WP-CLI, WP-Cron, or system — the piece WooCommerce's own notes never record.

Old-to-new diffs

Totals, addresses, and payment fields are diffed against the database right before save, so a manual price edit reads "total $200.00 -> $150.00", not just "order updated".

Noise-free by design

New orders are not flooded with "item added" notes, tax recalculation churn is skipped, and internal bookkeeping props are filtered out.

Zero configuration

No settings screen. Activate and it logs. A small set of hooks covers customization — prefixes, ignored fields, email note text, custom entries.

HPOS compatible and tested

CRUD-level hooks work with both High-Performance Order Storage and legacy post storage. A wp-env integration suite runs in CI on every push.
